Jubilee NYC Collaborative Hosts Worship, Fellowship Event

jubilee nyc

Saturday, February 18, 2017, Jubilee New York City successfully hosts its first worship event of the year at Immanuel Community Church in Bronx, New York. Eight worship band members gathered on Saturday morning to rehearse and pray for the event. All the glory and gratitude to God for pouring out His unconditional grace at this event.

This is a Jubilee NYC event with collaborating musicians and artists. Jubilee Worship manager and worship leader, Bex De, is a seasoned member who has participated in Jubilee Chorus and Worship at WOA events. With firm visions of uniting the Body of Christ and sharing the Gospel, she recruited worship band members from all over New York state and New Jersey. These members include: Isaiah (drums), Dan (guitar), Francesca (vocal), Jen (vocal, guitar, mandolin), and Bill (keyboard). As the event approached, Shu (violin) and Chris (dance) also joined the group. The team rehearsed on 3-4 occasions. They have bonded over praising the Lord together and sharing fellowship in one another's presence. In the mean time, Bex diligently promoted the opportunities to share their music across the regions, such as in Jubilee HQ in Dover and St. Louis, MO.

At the start of the event, worship team gathered before the Lord to pray with thankfulness, to surrender their burdens and lift up the name of Jesus Christ. The event opened with graceful worship. Throughout the event, the versatile worship team was able to worship the Lord in different styles as worship members switched instruments and rotated leadership for various songs. There was a special dance performance, accompanied by violin solo. Christopher, part of the Revival dancers, shared the testimony behind his dance. His performance conveyed His gratitude for God for saving his life years ago. Shu is a violinist studying music therapy at New York University. In her music she also expressed the overwhelming sentiments she harbored for the strivings of human life. Worship members Bill and Francesca also shared their testimonies, inspired by being the Body of Christ to worship together. Jubilee NYC representative, Dorothy, then delivered a brief message on John 15, exhorting the worshippers of God to remain in the love of Christ to truly taste the freedom of salvation. After the event, Jubilee members and church members gathered in the social hall to enjoy a time of fellowship and an abundance of refreshments.

May the name of the Lord be lifted high through this event.
