Malaysia Church Joins Local Christians to Pray for Nation

As the nation celebrates 51 years since its formation on September 16, Immanuel Community Church in Kuala Lumpur joined other local Christians in interceding for the nation during the Malaysia Day Prayer Celebration event.
The fruition of the prayer celebration was in itself very precious as it brings together the local evangelical and ecumenical bodies to co-organize the event. During the event, the participants were guided to repent and intercede on behalf of the Malaysian church and national issues, while being led into a graceful time of corporate worship and devotion.
At the end of the event, the participants were challenged to exercise their love for Malaysia through prayer as they witnessed the launch of 24-7 daily intercession for the nation over the next two years in anticipation of revival in the church and country.
Reflecting upon the event, one participant shared, "It was truly a precious experience to join my fellow Malaysians to pray for the nation. As we uphold the country in strategic prayer over the next two years, it is with hope that revival will come to the broken land. May we ourselves serve to be the answers to the very prayers that we pray daily."
Looking ahead to many Malaysians who will respond to the Gospel in the years to come, may the local ministers translate their prayers into actions of evangelism, teaching and preaching the Word daily.
'If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.'
