SLS Medical Mission Commences with 3000 Participants in Philippines

SLS Medical Mission to Philippines

Saint Luke Society's medical mission: Project Healing Hands is currently serving the local community in collaboration with the Government of the Philippines, Munipicial office of Tuburan, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Cebu Technological University (CTU), organizations, and local hospitals.

The second day of the mission trip commenced with Sunday Service led by Pastor Samuel Chang, preaching the word in the scripture of Mark 12: 28-34, emphasizing the greatest commandment of God, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

Meanwhile, today's highlight focuses on the start of free medical procedures and treatments given to the locals. There were about 3000 participants who joined the event including adult and children.

Today's event will end with the hosted celebration by the government local to welcome the SLS doctors and staffs, giving thanks for the service and help given to the locals.
