Ndaba Mazabane and Greg H Parsons to Speak at General Assembly
For the coming General Assembly, World Olivet Assembly have invited Ndaba Mazabane and Greg H Parsons as guest speakers at the plenary session of the event.
Rev. Mazabane currently serves as the Missions and Outreach Pastor at the Rosebank Union Church, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is an ordained Baptist minister and was involved in church planting and pastoring for eight years. He branched into broadcasting media and became a Radio Station Director for six. Ndaba served as the President of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa (AEA), appointed as the Chairman of the International Council of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) and is the Chairman of the of the International Bible Society-Send The Light (IBS-STL) , Southern Africa and member of the Africa Advisory Council of IBS-STL.
Rev. Mazabane has participated in number of forums addressing issues relating to social justice and ecclesiastical involvement. He served as a Council member and Track coordinator of the South African Christian Leadership Assembly (SACLA 2) which brought together South African leaders in July 2003 to reflect on the seven 'giants' faced the nation. Included in these were HIV/Aids, Poverty, Unemployment, and Family in Crisis, Racism, Sexism and Violence. He also serves as the founding Board member of the African Monitor, an independent body acting as a catalyst to monitor development funding commitments, delivery and impact on grassroots and to bring a strong African voice to the development agenda.
Mr. Parsons served as the Director at USCWM from 1990-2010. He is now Global Director - helping the USCWM to connect and network with mission leaders globally. He is also Chancellor and Ralph D. Winter Associate Professor of Intercultural Studies at William Carey International University.
The United States Center for World Mission (USCWM) is a center located on 35 acre campus in Pasadena, California where various missiologists, practitioners, and groups work together to strategize, research and promote ideas that will help to complete the unfinished task of reaching every people group with the Gospel. The campus is run by members of the Frontier Mission Fellowship. The US Center has been described as a frontier missions think tank or "missions Pentagon." Many ministries had their genesis at the Center or have been resident for a season before moving on to new locations.
The organization was founded by Ralph D. Winter, Dr. who was named among the top 25 Most Influential Evangelicals in America by TIME magazine.
